Earnings per share
TermUpdated 12 Sept 2026
EPS on the quote is diluted earnings per share copied from the newest SGX income statement. Missing or non-positive EPS means we dash P/E and payout.
How we get it
After the statements job we copy the newest income statement's diluted EPS onto the stock row. That is the same SGX filing, not a second vendor. P/E on the quote uses the screener ratio. Payout uses this EPS as the denominator.
When we skip
If EPS is missing or not positive, payout is a dash. We do not print a negative percent of earnings. P/E from the screener may still appear if SGX sent a ratio. A loss-making year and a still-printed P/E is a reason to distrust that P/E, not a reason for us to invent a better one.
Banks and REITs
Bank EPS includes credit costs. One fat year does not mean the next looks the same. REIT EPS can include fair-value moves on properties. Distribution per unit is the income figure for a trust. We still print EPS when SGX sent it.
Live on featured names
Same SGX rows as the stock pages, fetched when you opened this page. A dash means we do not have that input.
