52-week range
TermUpdated 12 Sept 2026
The 52-week high and low are the extremes of last prices we keep. They are not a forecast of the next high or low.
Formula · range_through_52w
from high = (price − high) / high × 100
How we pick the high and low
We prefer the highest and lowest close in the last 252 trading days of stored history. If fewer than twenty bars exist, we fall back to the SGX screener 52-week fields. The bar on the quote strip is those two prints with last price marked between them.
The percentages
From high is last minus the high, over the high. It is usually negative. From low is last minus the low, over the low. Through is where last sits inside the band, 0 at the low and 100 at the high. If high equals low we skip the percentages rather than divide by zero.
When it lies
A new 52-week high is a fact about the last year of prints. It is not a breakout signal we compute, and it is not adjusted for a dividend until the stock trades ex. A name that paid a large special can look closer to its low than the business moved.
