Last price

TermUpdated 12 Sept 2026

Last price is the most recent SGX sale we have stored. It is not the price you can deal at right now.

How SGX names it

SGX's public securities board labels Last as the last sale price of the trading counter, delayed by two minutes. Bid and ask on that same board are delayed two minutes as well. A last sale is a print that already happened. The live book can sit away from it, especially on a quiet counter.

What we store

Our quotes job copies SGX securities v1.1 during the Singapore session, on the hour and the half-hour, and again after the close. That is coarser than the two-minute public board. If this site looks behind a broker terminal, that is the delay, not a different last trade.

After the close, and before the next open, the figure is the last sale from the session that just ended. We do not invent an overnight price.

What it is not

Last price is not a bid, an ask, or a volume-weighted average. It is not adjusted for a dividend until the stock trades ex. The 52-week high and low on a stock page are the extremes of stored last prices in the history we keep. When history is thinner than twenty bars we fall back to the SGX screener 52-week fields.

Singapore plumbing

SGX equity trades settle two business days after the trade date. The usual board lot is 100 shares. Odd lots trade on a separate market with wider spreads. Buying one share of DBS at the last print is not how the main board works.
