How to read an SGX quote
GuideUpdated 12 Sept 2026
Walk the quote strip on a featured name: last sale, session tape, 52-week bar, yield, P/E, and the empty target.
Start with last, not with a story
The big number is the last SGX sale we stored. It is delayed. Our quotes job runs on the hour and the half-hour in the Singapore session, then once after the close. SGX's own public board is two minutes behind the tape. A broker terminal can still be ahead of both. Last is a print that already happened, not the bid you can lift.
Session tape
Open, high, low and previous close are the session's first print, extremes, and yesterday's close. Volume (session) is shares traded today, not lots. Average volume, lower on the page, is the 20-session mean of those share counts. A last print on thin volume is still the last. It is just easier to move.
The 52-week bar
The bar is the high and low of stored last prices over about a year, with today marked between them. From high is usually negative. It is not a breakout scanner. We do not call a new high a buy.
Yield and P/E
Forward yield is the SGX screener figure, stored as a percent. TTM DPS, on the dividend block, is cash from corporate actions in the last 365 Singapore days. They will disagree. P/E is the screener ratio. For a bank, look at P/B next. For an S-REIT, look at distribution, not P/E first.
The empty target
Analyst target is a dash. We do not have a named source. That is not a hidden DCF. If a cell is a dash anywhere else, we are missing the input. It is not zero.
Board lot, if you actually deal
SGX's standard board lot is 100 units. From 5 October 2026 SGX is shrinking the lot for higher-priced names, 10 units above S$10 and 1 unit above S$100, starting with a first batch. Odd lots still trade on a thinner market. This site does not take orders.
Live on featured names
Same SGX rows as the stock pages, fetched when you opened this page. A dash means we do not have that input.
