Frequently Asked Questions

How is the OCBC dividend yield on this page calculated?

OCBC shows a yield of 2.84% and indicated DPS of S$0.8911. That yield is the SGX screener figure, stored as a percent. Trailing cash from SGX corporate actions is listed separately as TTM DPS. Neither figure is a forecast of the next dividend.

What is the OCBC payout ratio?

OCBC pays out 38.79% of EPS on a trailing DPS / EPS basis. We skip the ratio when EPS is missing or not positive. It is a coverage figure, not a promise of the next dividend.

What does the OCBC P/E ratio mean?

OCBC has a P/E of 18.04 from the last SGX screener snapshot. OCBC is a bank. Earnings move with credit costs and interest margins, so price-to-book is the usual comparison among the three local banks. P/B here is 2.20. That is not a verdict on cheap or expensive.

What is the 52-week range for OCBC?

OCBC has a stored 52-week range of S$16.19 to S$32.57 from SGX history. That is the extreme of last prices we keep, not a forecast.
